I was putting off unlocking the Ren and Rin versions of certain songs in Project Diva because I really don’t like them that much. But I finally finished Project Diva by unlocking all the songs, and in the credits under motion capture a girl called Ogura Yui is mentioned :S. I always thought Miku’s dances were a bit loli-ish, but the mystery is solved!
A quick check on a 2ch reveals that she’s a 13 year old idol who Sega motion captured for the game, and a video started floating around on Nico Nico Douga of the dancer doing the dance herself compared with the Hatsune Miku in the game. Looks like Sega did a pretty awesome job.
And now for the original video:
I don’t think I can look at Miku the same way again :'(. For those of you hoping for a Japan post, the next one will be one so stay tuned!
Yeah I heard about this from Sankaku Complex. Just don’t picture a human girl dancing for Miku and you’ll have nothing to worry about. =)
At least they used a human reference…it’d look pretty weird if you see Miku doing impossible poses. It’s just her skirt is too high and long…not your preference in girls huh…AaroNINJApan??
No. I am not into 13 year olds!
You sure she’s 13? She looks like she could be my senpai. ^_^;
I wish I have a PSP, this game looks awesome!
In an alternate dimension, maybe you are into 13 year olds…kekeke…
Looks do look deceiving ^_^
I have the urge to learn this dance now…..
also, she SOOO does not look 13.
she sounds 13 though…
She sounds like she has a speech impediment :P.
Do it! Perform it at the next CTRL-A karaoke :P.
Problem is you won’t be there…so you should say in the Fall when you return…but given that, you’d probably find it on the net once the event is done.
It is so cute. I love it
Too bad the hair style doesn’t look alike.
I guess it’s a pity the hair isn’t alike, but you have to give Sega big props for capturing her movement so well.
Actually, maybe she was wearing twin tails during the actual motion capture, because it would be kind of hard to animate those yourself while the rest of her was motion captured.
