I’m a little lazy at the moment to type a full post. I’ll probably jump on it after I finish translating Kannagi. In the mean time, I’m going to contribute 1 more the otaku half of the website. An introduction to my current work song or 作業曲 sagyoukyoku.
Does anyone here know who the vocaloids, Hatsune Miku are, or what the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking is? If you don’t, the introduction is after the jump!
The no. 1 song in the ranking for the last 2 weeks is the following: ロミオとシンデレラ Romeo and Cinderella. (Should I try and make an interesting post teaching Katakana?)
Or if you prefer a human voice:
Human voice…but if you’re out of resources or your voice actors are crap, then totally get Miku’s voice in asap. ^_^
I like your way of thinking!
I LOVE how the vocaloid program has nurtured the growth of all these great original songs written by fans. That’s so awesome.
My fave so far is World is Mine:Miku ver.
double post! Aww, Hana-tan’s voice is so cute
Robostrike: Hey Miku’s voice isn’t that bad! 😛 I just listen to it as though it were an instrument that’s part of the music. The vocaloid voice can do a number of things that the human voice can’t do!
Yuki Phnx: It’s really great how the vocaloid software has brought out all this compositional talent. Not a lot of people can both sing and compose, the vocaloid helps draw views and gives life to a composition. World is Mine is a great song and it has been longer lived than most other miku songs on the ranking, with the exception of Miku Miku ni Shite ageru :P.
Man.. what the heck, I just realized that half my post is missing! I had an introduction thing all written up, and then upon upload it went poof!
after getting absorbed into the nico nico douga community i’ve started listening to a lot more miku stuff ^^;; my favorite at the moment is usa’s rendition of world is mine (sorry miku :P) http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm3708173
oo looks like she’s almost up to 800k hits for that one
romeo & cinderella is pretty good too though ^^
You’re translating kannagi? like… doing a translation for a scanlation? or…? whatever the medium, very nice, gokurosan ^^ it takes me forever to translate for an audience because i’m so concerned about preserving the context… worrying about implied meanings, stylistic stuff (which is hard since i’m no writer)…
I like both human and miku voice. Thought the human version is much more natural ^^
[…] favorite, うさ-san’s rendition of world is mine… thanks to aaron for alerting me to romeo & cinderella… rin fans may like 炉心融解 (niconico, youtube)… I’m probably just scratching […]
